■	Whooper Swans, which spent winter in Honshu, return to Shunkunitai and stay there until the end of April.

■	A group of deer goes to the seashore and eats the food at the evening. The number is about 50. They may lap the salt.

■	The ice of Lake Furen starts to melt.

the middle of month

■

Migratory birds of spring such as Wigeons, Pintails and Falcated Ducks return to Shunkunitai.

■

Marsh Tits and Wrens start to sing.

■

Japanese Cranes return to Shunkunitai to raise their children.

■	We sometimes have sudden blizzard in Nemuro. It is called ‘Higanare’ in Japanese.

the end of month

■	A number of Japanese Cranes reaches to the peak.
■	There are a few eagles in Shunkunitai.

■	Animals start to move activity.

■	Butterbur flower stalks and Adonis amurensises start to sprout.
