Monthly record of birds

This is a list of birds which can be seen around the Nature Center.  It is drawn up from the records from April 1995 to April  1999.  We classify the birds according to type of migration.  We researched the birds around Shunkunitai, so in other places, some birds may not be seen at the same season as shown in the list.  (For example, Oystercatchers belong to the winter birds in this list, but they belong to the winter birds of the staying birds in other places.)
Some summer birds and traveling birds may spend the winter, and they might be recorded in winter.  (For example, Black-faced Buntings and Dunlins).  However, most of them return to Shunkunitai as summer birds and traveling birds.

Explanation

The staying birds The birds that can be seen all though the year.
The summer birds The birds that return in summer to breed.
The traveling birds The birds that stop over on the way during migration.  (They stop over when they go back and forth between Siberia and Southeast of Asia.)
The winter birds The birds that return in winter.
The lost birds The birds that lost their migratory course and arrive at Shunkunitai.  (Some have been seen once in the last several years and others only once.)
The unusual birds The birds that visit Shunkunitai from mountains occasionally.

The birds that we do not have much record about.  The very rare birds.

The staying birds. (They can be seen all though the year, so we list them first.)
